series or workshop starts, check our calendar.
Successful Curriculum Alignment Workshop Series
Having a concise continuum for curriculum is an ultimate goal for
mapping the taught curriculum. In this workshop series we will examine
vertical and horizontal integration of curriculum and how department or discipline
specific heads and chairs can propel their articulation.
Uncovering
Multi-Disciplinary Skills
There are underlying commonalities within the taught curriculum for all
departments and disciplines. Step back to review what skills are being
taught in all departments and examine its impact on the connected
curriculum. Your discoveries will:
- Explore how student centric skills like critical thinking and
reading, can be reinforced and covered in all disciplines.
- Examine different strategies for integrating skills.
- Scaffold non-discipline specific skills into a continuum.
Discipline Analysis for
Alignment
A key component throughout Rubicon's Methodology is curricular review
and alignment. Come prepared to address the top five issues facing your
department and discover new strategies and ideas from other Atlas peers.
- Conduct a thorough analysis of your discipline.
- Create a series of reports and protocols to facilitate
conversation and review
- Explore innovative teaching practices within your discipline and
how to embed them into the taught curriculum.
Build Tools and Resources*
Continue to expand tools and resources you need by creating an
interactive podcast for your team or brainstorming with colleagues from
around the world on key items.
Participants will select one focused activity by creating a podcast
or tool that reflects one of the following:
- Explore new strategies to document multi-disciplinary skills.
- Engage your discipline in using Atlas to explore key questions.

on work.

necessary to support your process.
